The wardrobe guide

Keep the item
with its context.

A general structure for a dancewear organization note, with garment information and event requirements kept in their own places.

Name the purpose of the record

State whether the note concerns your own organization, an event preparation, or a shared handoff. The purpose determines which details are useful.

Keep the note limited to what the reader needs. A wardrobe record does not require an invented product profile or unnecessary information about a person.

Use a recognizable item label

Describe the feature you actually use to identify the item. Where similar pieces exist, keep the distinction clear enough for a later return.

A visual description does not establish material composition or suitability. Leave those conclusions outside the organization note unless the relevant source actually supports them.

Preserve actual instructions

Keep supplied care information connected to the item. Distinguish it from a copied suggestion, an event instruction, or your own reminder.

The website does not provide clothing-treatment methods or determine which instruction applies to a particular garment. Use the actual information associated with it.

Keep occasion requirements separate

Record where the requirements of the real event or activity come from. Mark any detail that still needs confirmation with the actual organizer.

A personal preference can sit beside a requirement without becoming one. Clear labels help another reader understand the source and status of each statement.

Make the handoff readable

Describe what has been organized, what remains open, and which responsibility moves next. Keep the supporting information easy to find.

Return to the note after the occasion if useful. A short update can preserve what changed without presenting the earlier plan as though it had always been final.
